OOM is an acronym for ‘Order Of Magnitude’ and refers to the order of magnitude shift taking place in our daily interactions with new scales and forms of information. For OOM Creative this scale shift is an opportunity to design meaningful digital environments that improve our experience of complex information - for business and creative endeavours - especially in the move from the 2D interface of Web 2.0 to the next phase of Web 3D, The Immersive Internet.

One of the best ways to think about the practice of OOM Creative is to consider the idea of syndicating digital space. We know how to syndicate news and information over the web - through technologies like RSS - and OOM Creative is forging ahead in thinking about how to syndicate digital environments in a similar way.

For example OOM Creative is currently working with the National Portrait Gallery in Australia on a groundbreaking exhibition that opened in October 2009, Doppelgänger, which uses the virtual world of Second Life as the primary interface to exhibit commissioned works by international and national artists. OOM Creative designed and developed the virtual exhibition environment for the project, made documentation films of the project for marketing, and developed interactive visualisations of the visitor metrics. Also OOM Creative is currently part of the team developing strategies, workshops and prototypes, for the next generation of artists working within the context of virtual environments.  This is The Australia Centre of Virtual Art LAB (ACVA LAB) an innovative project funded by the The Australia Council for the Arts that runs through to October 2010. Greg More

Greg More is an international expert in the area of digital environment design and founded OOM Creative in 2008.

As a designer first and foremost, Greg is invested in the long-term improvement of digital environments. OOM Creative is the result of Greg’s quest to integrate his architectural knowledge with programming expertise to create digital environments and web applications that work from the top level down to the smallest detail.

Greg’s attention to the cinematic qualities of 3D environments - and hallmark minimalism - has been received with international interest and acclaim. His design work has been exhibited at Museum of Modern Art New York, selected for OneDotZero and Resfest International Film Festivals and featured in a range of international architecture and design biennale and publications.

Greg is also a senior lecturer at RMIT University in the School of Architecture + Design, and holds a research position at RMIT’s Spatial Informational Architecture Laboratory (SIAL). In recent years, Greg’s focus has been researching, developing and teaching videogame technology for design and artistic purposes.
